A few existing fruit trees, and a client's desire for more produce guided the development of this project in San Jose, California.

The 20-year old wooden deck, spa, fence, and overhead structure all needed to be replaced. Low maintenance, drought tolerance, and a "natural" feel were required. The use of redwood, field stone boulders, and flagstone were the solution. To minimize trips to the landfill, an old concrete patio was broken up and used to create an attractive seat wall in the back yard.
